Not sure if I'm doing the challenge this year, but I just found and watched the first film by a woman, the minute-long La Fée aux Choux by Alice Guy-Blaché, the 1900 version. Apparently the original 1896 version is lost. #MovieChallenge 2024

And before anyone starts any shyte? I lived in Golders Green, London 2016-18. I was HORRIFIED to find out that the 10ft wall surrounding a building at the top of my street with Security Guards was a PRIMARY SCHOOL. Security paid for by the Parents. My husband told me it has been standard practice in London for YEARS!
I never in my life thought I would see it in Scotland. 7th Oct 2023 changed EVERYTHING. Now Security Guards are patrolling round the only Jewish Primary School in Scotland and outside the very few Synagogues.
I don’t see it outside ANY other schools or places of worship. Yet the Scottish Parliament remains SILENT.
WHY?
TOLERANT SCOTLAND MY ERSE!
It’s Shameful.
I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THIS IN SCOTLAND. ☹️☹️☹️
