@NoelHolohan Then it wouldnt be of a high enough standard and fall off. Nope, so anyone that has played 3 games for cork this year cant be regarded. So they will bring through a new set of players next year. And will probably still challenge.

@alanbutty No if you’re on the senior squad you can’t play. Can girls who won intermediate yesterday play intermediate again next year? Or how does that work?

Having 2nd teams competing in Intermediate and Junior Camogie All Ireland championships, is it holding back counties like Kerry, Laois, Derry, Etc from Developing? Surely a 2nd team only Competition would be far better. How is Tipp and Cork’s 2nd teams wins developing the game?

@NoelHolohan Ya around 60, but they seem to have no problem with sponsorship. I did think that but most girls that are that age are on there adult team, and then burnout will come into it. Where will the extra time come from?

@alanbutty How big would their squads be? 60 players? Gear, food, buses, hotels Would an under 20/21 championship not be better?

@NoelHolohan That is what is proposed going forward but teams aint very happy about it. Well you take cork, they are at the top of the game in every age group, they are constantly developing and finding new players. It isnt costing much more to have the 2nd cause they usually work together

@alanbutty They would be allowed to compete in their own championship though with other second teams. Must be financially very tough for county boards to support two full adult squads too? Would that money be better spent on coaching and underage squads?
