@vincempls @StarTribune @PioneerPress This was the mast for the antenna of WTCN-FM 97.1, (sister to WTCN 1280 - WWTC since 1964), which launched 12/27/46. Less than a decade later, an unrelated station appeared on 97.1, KWFM. That Foshay radio antenna was ditched decades ago. Today the frequency is KTCZ/Cities 97.1.

#OnThisDay Dec 15 1946: WTCN's new mast is complete atop Foshay Tower. One of the oldest radio stations founded in 1925, in this heyday it was a top news outlet owned by @StarTribune and @PioneerPress. Later, it had a series of owners and troubles known as "The Fiasco at 1280"
