@alangreg73 It was Alan... I think Kevin was rightly annoyed about some of the defending... but a chance to bounce back at home to Derry on Friday with a raucous home crowd behind them...

@ConMurphySport Great win for Drogheda with no fans and 2 down at half-time especially considering the run they've been on

Pretty hard to predict results in the LOI at the moment, but that's one of the good things about it. I might hv gone for a draw in Waterford but Derry good value tonight, Pat's looking good, Drogheda so much bottle with no away fans. The pot keeps boiling.

Crazy game here in Tolka. 6 goals conceded in total and all from some of the worst defending you’ll ever see. 3-3 Crazy stuff 🤷‍♂️🇮🇪 And the referee 🤦

The pitch might be awful but at least the floodlights at Celtic Park are aimed at the pitch rather than its surrounds as they are at Brandywell. Decent wattage too. #LOI

Watching #LateLate Country Special. is there a shitter genre in music than Irish 'country'? It swallows American country, removes all the angst, all the joy and just pukes up anodyne, bland pap in its place. If country'n'Irish was a colour it would be beige.

@MiguelDelaney Sad to see Italy missing out again but even sadder that they're such a mediocre side these days

@MiguelDelaney Just a pity as it was there for the taking..Czechia were poor and that penalty gave them a lifeline they didn't earn

Suppose one thing for Ireland is the team’s very history shows play-offs can give necessary experience - brutal as it feels now. Maybe 2002 doesn’t happen without Macedonia/Turkey for Euro 2000 (which had real echoes of last night). The Henry one led to cruising against Estonia.

@henrywinter @talkSPORT He crossed a ball that the keeper made a mess of and then ran the ball into an empty goal afterwards, hardly earth shattering stuff even at 16

Following Max Dowman’s performance for Arsenal, we’re debating young English talents on @talkSPORT. Also discussing goalkeeping mistakes, Chelsea’s odd huddle, Tottenham in turmoil and a rugby union classic. From 9-11 UK.

This country is cooked. The fact that so many of these orcs actually take a perverse sense of national pride in us being seen as the most antisemitic country in Europe is a reminder that the bigots walk among us. And they're proud of it.

@BurtchaellJohn Ban away fans. Make the stadium a cauldron. UEFA are too afraid of them to eject them. I relish the thought of battering them on the pitch

@DavidSneyd Reactionary stuff thanks to the 'Minister's' antics this week..doubt the likes of Rovers or Bohs would've got similar punishment

League of Ireland confirm punishment for Drogheda United over pyro use. Fine of €15,000. A ban on their supporters attending the next four away fixtures. A ban on supporters attending all fixtures at Oriel Park for the remainder of this season.

🗣️ 'I think that anybody who was there on Friday night and saw what I saw, in a political context, should condemn it!' 🗣️ 'If they don't, their silence will speak volumes!' Minister for Sport, Patrick O'Donovan TD, has reiterated his stance on Friday night's pyrotechnics at the Louth derby between Dundalk and Drogheda United.

He really is showing a tremendous capacity for putting his foot in it. The "plague on all their houses" statement should come back to haunt him. Absolutely scandalous.
Stephen Doyle@dubsoulrebel

The claim by @FineGael minister Patrick O’Donovan that “they are a legitimate Uefa team” is incorrect as they are not conforming to governing bodies rules
