Exciting Markham Indy construction updates! The Unionville GO Station access road is open, and parking in the main lot is now accessible! Roadway improvements supporting the 2026 Ontario Honda Dealers Indy are underway in Markham Centre until June 30 (weather permitting). Final paving of the access road is planned to begin in mid-May during off peak hours. Impacts during construction may include lane restrictions, traffic delays during peak hours, temporary sidewalk/cycling detours, and daytime construction noise. Street sweeping season is underway in Markham! The City of Markham conducts street sweeping each spring and fall to remove leaves and debris, help prevent flooding, and keep pavement markings visible. Please remember: leaves and debris must not be raked or blown onto the roadway. Place leaves in yard waste bags on your regular collection day (April 7 to October 30). Thank you for helping keep Markham’s streets clean and safe.
