Did VAR claim Tom got a huge touch on the ball because clearly he didn’t & as previous comments fouls like that from behind are 100% a foul whether you get the ball or not

‘Referee accused of coaching’ a Rangers player and people actually believe this 🤦🏼‍♂️ The referee is doing his job and I thought this was common knowledge. Steve Conroy and Des Roach, two former top flight refs, posted this @behindtwpod “This happens continually through every game from Pro, to Juniors to Amateurs. A Referee has a duty to protect Players and are not there to ruin the spectacle they want to keep the game flowing. So if he’s warning a Player don’t think about tackling through the back he’s: 1. Tried to protect the player on the ball from a potential injury from being challenged from behind which is a complete no no these days anyway. 2. If the Player ignores the warning and goes ahead and fouls the opponent then he can pretty much forget about getting out of it without a card as he’s been warned. Unfortunately he got the call wrong on whether the tackle was fair”. Give @behindtwpod a follow and they’ll keep you right with refereeing decisions etc You might not always agree with them but they’ll give you an honest answer.

"A huge touch of the ball" They check the APP which starts with this foul and still clear the goal. Do not even for a second claim this game is straight up here. We have a collection of Referees desperate to help them at every turn stay in touch. Utterly mortifying standard.

@Zeshankenzo On 1st name terms with Tom, blatantly ignores a clear foul that then leads to a goal 🙄 would be interesting to hear if he was calling the Ross County players by their 1st names and asking them not to foul.

Who the fk is the ref here? Did he win a competition? Is he actually shouting at Tom Lawrence not to tackle? 😂 That looks to me to be an attacking phase of play, I’m afraid.
