good morning CT If you've been in crypto for a while, the EVM is certainly familiar. This engine runs almost all smart contracts on Ethereum and L2. Now imagine an EVM that remains compatible, but more automated, more flexible, and more developer- and user-friendly. That's @ritualnet EVM++. It's the same EVM, only enhanced with features we've always needed. ---------------------- What are the Upgrades? ❖ Transactions Can Run Automatically In Ethereum, if you want routine or conditional execution, you usually need a bot, keeper, or external service. In EVM++, it's built-in. Smart contracts can: - Run automatically at intervals - Execute when certain conditions are met - Run exactly at the beginning of the block No bots. No third parties. Cleaner, more trustless. ---------------------- ❖ Faster EIP Entry There are many great EIPs, but the process of getting them onto Ethereum is long. EVM++ takes the fast track: - Focus on the most requested EIPs - Add them immediately to improve UX and DX This means developers can build faster, and users can get features faster. ---------------------- ❖ Accounts Don't Have to Have an EOA An EOA is simple, but also limited. With account abstraction, accounts can be: - Programmable - Smart contract-controlled - Have custom logic (multi-sig, social recovery, gas abstraction, etc.) The result? A smarter wallet and much smoother onboarding for non-crypto users. ---------------------- ❖ EVM++ Sidecars This is the most interesting part. Instead of cramming all the computation into the client (like Ethereum), Ritual uses modular sidecars. This means: - Computation runs in a separate container - Anyone can build their own sidecar - Can be used for a variety of computing use cases More scalable, more flexible, and much more expressive for advanced developers. ---------------------- The EVM++ ritual isn't here to drastically change everything, but rather to tidy up things that have been complicated in the EVM. Automation becomes native, accounts become smarter, and computation becomes more flexible. Everything remains compatible, but it's much better prepared for today's and future on-chain needs.
