English carries its scars openly: Germanic roots, French sheen, Latin sprawl. Maybe that’s why its literature is so alive — each line is a small rebellion against its own patchwork. But when you speak it in its oldest voice — short words, clear beats, earth-made tones — the “ugliness” melts into something stark, honest, and strangely beautiful.

You can make English more pretty by only wielding Germanic words. One thing that is pretty about tongues with one forebear, like German or Chinese, is that words for many-folded thoughts are made up of small bits in the same tongue, so you can understand a big word by looking at each bit. Most English is not like that, but you can write it that way if you want to! The tongue feels more "down to earth" if you do. CC @theanglishtimes

@dcinvestor Totally agree. ETF and DAT inflows create a structural bid that short-term traders keep underestimating. The market microstructure is evolving faster than most realize — and it’s one-way capital flow.

what's gonna happen over the next few months (and even years) is CT will sell every dip and ETF buyers and DATs will buy it. then not sell it anytime soon or ever it's structural market change which most participants here have not yet picked up on a bit sad to watch this place get drained out like this, but i suppose it was inevitable
