Britain is one of the most nature-depleted countries on earth. Our society is more than willing to pay for restoration. All this endless anti-nature, anti-wildlife, anti-beaver, anti-national parks, anti-public access rhetoric from the farmers unions risks costing farmers the public loyalty and affection they have enjoyed forever. @NPGalloway The Scottish Government has cut £5 million from its nature recovery programme. The Scottish Environment link suggests that National Parks focus more on tourism than wildlife. Perhaps the RSPB might be wrong to support a National Park?

@NPGalloway Stronger voice? When the Scottish Government is controlling the consultations through its organisation NatureScot as well as not allowing a referendum on the topic? The National Park proposal has already divided the community before it has even been established.
