While her government used the notwithstanding clause against striking teachers, Danielle Smith was accepting private jets and luxury hotel stays from the Saudi government. We pushed for stronger ethics rules with our No More Skyboxes bill, but the UCP voted it down. Now we see why. The entitlement is staggering.

Danielle Smith can jet off to Saudi Arabia in the middle of a teachers’ strike on a secret, foreign-funded private plane, but calls programs for disabled Albertans and seniors “overly generous.” That tells you everything.

@albertaNDP @ChrisRobbin2 Ben Shapiro has no control over tariffs and neither do provincial premiers, so again, what purpose did this trip serve?

Danielle Smith's defence for posing with a right-wing influencer spreading anti-Muslim hate? "At least we agree tariffs are bad!" That trip cost you $20,000. You're welcome, Alberta.

Lawyers and legal organizations have been sounding the alarm for months about the power grab this government is engaged in. This is unacceptable.

Alberta is the only province without accessibility legislation. Today, that changes: @MarieFrRenaud has introduced Bill 206, the Accessible Alberta Act. Albertans with disabilities deserve better. Alberta's New Democrats are ready.

"Alberta’s chambers of commerce say ...it’s time Premier Danielle Smith’s government moves on from blaming former prime minister Justin Trudeau." We're all tired of Danielle Smith blaming everyone but herself for the consequences of her actions. thecanadianpressnews.ca/business/alber…

After seven years of the UCP, Albertans are getting closed emergency rooms and excuses instead of accountability. Just this past week, on her radio show, the premier claimed there are no staffing shortages in Alberta’s health-care system. cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

Too many Alberta families have been blindsided by serious incidents at their child's care program. We have a plan for better. That's why we're calling on the UCP to act.

Alberta’s health-care system is in crisis, and Danielle Smith and the UCP are still ignoring the doctors and nurses sounding the alarm. 1/4 cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

Nearly one million Albertans don’t have access to a family doctor. Patients are left wondering if their surgeries will even go ahead. Yet Danielle Smith continues to claim there are no staffing shortages in health-care.

This government is breaking the system while opening the door to privatization and making it harder for Albertans to get the care they need, when they need it.
