Getting alopecia suddenly at 41 yrs old made me realize how my OCD + intrusive thoughts are affecting me more than mentally. The mind and body are truly connected.
If u or someone you love is suffering with alopecia, just know you are not alone 💗

Today I dropped my daughter off at her ballet recital looking unusually put together, and the woman who normally sees me every week looking like a mom was so shocked at my appearance that she asked if I was a model. I laughed and told her no.
And honestly? That interaction reminded me of something I think a lot of people in this industry forget.
Porn is not a mainstream job. It never will be. And I think some of us have gotten confused trying to force mainstream validation onto something that has always existed outside of it.
I’m not ashamed of what I do. But I also don’t think every space is meant for it. Not every audience is your audience. Not every room is a safe room. There’s wisdom in privacy. There’s wisdom in discretion. There’s wisdom in understanding context.
Part of surviving in this industry long term is learning how to protect your personal life, your family life, your peace, your finances, your reputation, and your safety. Learn your paper trails. Learn your settings. Learn who can see what. Stop assuming everyone deserves access to every part of you.
I think a lot of creators underestimate how much mystery and separation used to protect both the performers and the business itself.
What’s happening lately with creators desperately chasing mainstream approval, trying to merge internet clout culture with adult spaces, inviting people who fundamentally do not understand or respect sex work into industry environments… it’s hurting people. These events are supposed to feel safe for the people actually in the industry.
You cannot force respect out of people who already came into the room looking down on you.
That doesn’t mean we should feel ashamed. It means we should be smarter about boundaries, privacy, audience, and access.
There’s a difference between being authentic and making your job your entire public identity in every single space you enter.
This work has always required a little bit of “secret agent” energy. Honestly, I think some of us forgot that.
