There isn't a single problem in this country that the labour party aren't slowly making better. And that's the most bat shit crazy bit of British politics. The hatred and vitriol against them would make anyone think they're the ones who caused the disaster they're slowly fixing.

No, Rutte. Europe needs to strive for military autonomy — and that means buying European whenever possible.

"Just because you’ve got a flag in your van and you scream at people in the street doesn’t make you a patriot." Chancellor Rachel Reeves tells Channel 4 News' Economics Editor Helia Ebrahimi that being a patriot is about "loving this country and treating other people with respect", after being heckled during a previous interview.

@daveatherton Asylum seekers in catered accommodation (like hotels) receive £9.95 per week for essentials. Those in self-catered community housing receive £49.18 per week. They are not provided with taxpayer funded phones.

@daveatherton Worked in nursing a good while and I've never seen anyone pick a phone on the NHS. That 'cash' people talk about is about eight pounds a week for basics like toothpaste. Barely subsistence, not luxury.

@daveatherton Actually- £49.18 per week, meals not included paid onto a debit card, not cash. Or £9.85 with meals included. So if that part was wrong guess the rest is short on reliable facts too

@kevinhollinrake @jcartlidgemp I have explained repeatedly. Up until this week there have been no bans on any products refined elsewhere from Russian crude or on uranium. This week we introduced new sanctions to stop that. We are phasing this in with some products banned immediately others later.

I commend the governments of Germany, the UK, Italy, Australia, Canada, and France, among others, that are now calling on the Israeli government to “end settlement expansion.” But this is also the moment to go further. This is the right moment to demand an end to the occupation itself, and to advance a real political solution that recognizes the right of both peoples in this land to self-determination, equality, and a future of peace, dignity, and freedom. This is the moment for real action.

This is exactly the right thing to do however angry the right-wing media gets. And we'll need more of it. Ordinary people should not pay for the crisis caused by Trump’s war on Iran. The corporate giants making super-profits and ripping everyone off should pay.

@DerbyChrisW Time to confront your MP on this matter if they support or are FoI. MPs represent voters not foreign governments or individuals who commit genocide.!

@DerbyChrisW @SSalyers2 The MP’s that have received money from Israeli lobbyists and supporters should be excluded from a vote on this matter, they are working on behalf of a foreign government and are clearly compromised and are complicit in the ongoing Genocide in Gaza and Lebanon🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

@DerbyChrisW No country should be allowed to donate to our politicians - it is a very strange thing we allow here - what exactly are they paid to do? Imagine if there was a Labour friends of Russia that took payments.

I've just received an email from the House of Commons confirming that on 22 June MPs will debate the calls for a public inquiry into pro-Israel influence on politics & democracy. The MPs owned by Israel will oppose it, but how many will be brave enough to back a public inquiry?
