I went into @AldiUSA in Fort Worth last week and the bill was $80.35. I handed the cashier, a man in his 60s, a hundred dollar bill and 2 quarters
He literally yelled at me for making him have to count change, and I said, " just put the amount in the register and it will tell you how much to give me back, a 20 and 15 cents."
He banged around and couldn't figure it out, was beyond angry at me, finally did what I asked and wouldn't look at me while handing back the change.
Exchange with a teenage cashier today. Total was $17.15 and I handed him $20.15:
Him: you don’t need the .15 bc the $20 covers it
Me: Yes, but then I can get $3 back
Him: whoa. Wow, you’re thinking ahead. That’s cool. Not many people do that
Me: 😳
