THIS MY BROTHER KEVIN HICKS WENT MISSING FROM ADDISCOMBE, CROYDON, SURREY, UK SINCE 02~03~1986 SADLY BOTH MY PARENTS HAVE DIED SOMEONE SOMEWHERE KNOWS SOMETHING

It is 40 years today since Kevin went missing, please keep his family in your thoughts 🙏🏻 ANNIVERSARY APPEAL – KEVIN HICKS Kevin Hicks was 16 years old when he went to the shop just 350yds away from his home on 2 March 1986 in Croydon, Surrey. He had helped his dad, Derek wash the pots after dinner then realised he needed eggs for his cookery project the next day in school. He took £1 with him and left home about 8.40pm wearing a white, black & red Lacoste bomber jacket, jeans and white Hi-Tec trainers. The last sighting of him was at 10pm on Shirley Road heading for home in Sissinghurst Road, Addiscombe. Kevin came from a happy family and he had no problems to give him reason to go missing. Finger tip searches in the area unfortunately found no trace of Kevin. Even a Crimewatch appeal did not result in any fresh intelligence. Unfortunately, since Kevin disappeared both his parent have passed away with discovering the truth. Alexandra continues to campaign for answers. She firmly believes Kevin is still alive somewhere and that is what keeps her focused. “Kevin please get in touch or if anyone knows anything or hiding this from people please please come forward 40 years is too long living in limbo I need answers xx” In 2016 a cold-case team launched a fresh investigation lead by DI John McQuade who believes Kevin was murdered and his body disposed. Police have offered a £20,000 reward to anyone who leads them to Kevin’s body or the prosecution of the person(s) responsible for his murder. DI McQuade is appealing for a lady who phoned the Croydon Advertiser on 25 October 1996 claiming she knew where Kevin’s body was to come forward again. Kevin features in season five, episode 47 of The Missing Podcast, where his sister Alexandra speaks to Pandora Sykes about their childhood and the circumstances of his disappearance (available on Amazon Music and other podcast platforms). An empty chair at the dinner table, an unopened present under the Christmas tree, for families with missing loved ones is heartbreaking. @aleandra40 knows how painful Christmas is after her brother vanished 39 years ago #FindKevinHicks mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/k…
