Panel about carotid diseases discusses the use of TCD for microemboli detection, mainly in outpatient care and with unstable carotid plaques. I may find it difficult to address all patients due to infrastructure, but it's definitely a call for trials! #ISC26

The president of the @American_Heart, Dr. Stacey Rosen, gave a terrific lecture yesterday about why women matter in research and stroke care. Women have a unique risk factor as age of menarche or menopause, parity and contraceptive use. Also can be more affected by hypertension.

Oceanic-Stroke Results! The study enrolled patients after non-cardioembolic IS or TIA event. 🧭 The cumulative incidence of stroke was significant lower in patients using asundexian with a HR of 0.74. 🩸There was no difference between groups regarding major bleeding. #ISC26

TNK-Plus evaluated a sample of 391 patients in late window set presenting with MCA occlusion. The use of TNK plus Thrombectomy did not prove to benefit patients outcomes. #ISC26 @StrokeAHA_ASA
