Dilansir Bloomberg, Senin (22/9), harga BBM RON95 di Malaysia akan turun menjadi RM 1,99 per liter atau sekitar Rp 7.880 per liter (kurs Rp 3.960 per RM). Sementara untuk warga asing akan membayar lebih tinggi, yakni RM 2,6 per liter atau sekitar Rp 10.296 per liter. Langkah tersebut dilakukan untuk memperkecil defisit fiskal Malaysia. Harga bahan bakar yang lebih murah untuk warga Malaysia itu dibatasi sebanyak 300 liter per bulan, meskipun pengemudi untuk perusahaan ride-hailing dapat mengajukan permohonan untuk plafon yang lebih tinggi.
