It’s been a crazy first 6 months of the year. Looking back, I’m grateful for the variety of work we’ve had the chance to work on. Brand identities, websites, product design… it’s been one of our busiest and most rewarding periods yet. Can’t wait to start sharing more of it over the coming weeks. If you’re a founder planning a rebrand or new website, we’ve got a couple of project slots opening from late August.

One thing we all should be doing is actually asking ourselves, do I even understand this brief before putting it into Claude or Chat? Because the likelihood is, that brief was written with AI. And before we know it, nothing emailed is actually human nor will it make any sense for the someone that consumes it.

@AlexAperios I've used a trackpad for over ten years and would never use anything else

@AlexAperios My colleague in our office hooks up her pro display to her macbook and just trackpads everything. She's working on a coffee table book for one of our clients atm and shes just placing everything immaculately. Just pure sociopathic behaviour.

@AlexAperios Somehow I only ever had pain with a trackpad doing detailed masking work when I was a junior.

@dubois_norman Agencies with reputations can do this. But it rarely works if you want sustainable growth.

@AlexAperios I think it depends on the audience. I know a few agencies who don’t give a shit and just share great work — but the work is obviously amazing

Whenever someone says, “I’ve tried everything,” they usually haven’t. I’d bet they rarely share their work. And when they do, it’s something like: “A logo I made.” But why should a potential client care? A logo or Hero design on its own doesn’t solve a business problem. Clients aren’t buying the visual, they’re buying the outcome. Instead of showing what you made, show what changed. * Did the rebrand help them raise funding? * Did the new website increase conversions? * Did the new positioning help them charge more? * Did it make them look credible enough to win bigger clients? Too many designers create content for other designers. The people consistently winning work create content for the people they’re trying to sell to. They talk about business problems, decisions, results, and how their design helped a company grow. That’s the difference.

i get multiple designers every day telling me they are struggling to get clients. they've tried outreach, content, mentorships. still nothing. then i look at their profile. the work is mid at best. bro, you are chasing the wrong thing. before trying to fix your outreach or your sales or your content system, make sure your work is actually world-class. not decent. world-class. it's genuinely impossible not to get clients when your work is so good it's impossible to ignore.

@stasmay I tried it, gt frustrated, never looked back. Ended up buying an iPad and apple pencil. Found that to be better.
