I finished designing and developing the site for MoMoney last July, but the doors of the museum are finally open and now I get to share it with the world! This one was a lot of fun, and Houss (the client) has been incredible to work with — a genuine please. 🎨 Branding by Studio Chong 🖥️ Built in @webflow 🪄 Brought to life using @greensock museumofmoney.com

My New Website is finally live! I am very happy with this result. This is the beginning of a new chapter, collaborating directly with brands and companies. This website was built 100% on @webflow, and using @greensock + Lenis Scroll is the perfect combo for smooth animations.

@BradfordHuber4 Exactly! I hate the spin that they’re doing it for us. It makes it feel horribly disingenuous

@JordanGilroy 95% of clients lose. What bothers me is how it was messaged. Trying to make it sound like they are making the plans better value more when in reality it’s just a price increase. I’d rather have them just be up front and say that haha

@edankwan @emilkowalski Haha, social media is so stupid.. You share a project you worked on for 3 months, get 2 likes, and lose a follower. On top, you can't share the project url. Then you post one stupid drama tweet and suddenly gain 300 followers every hour. 🤪

Where is the limit about posting the content of others? 🧵 My work on the left, Rauno's on the right. And I'll skip the motion. cc @emilkowalski 😁

How I built with Lovable 👇 1. Start with midnight blue + soft sand feels cinematic instantly 2. Tell Lovable to make it a single scroll page with scene transitions 3. Add a lone figure walking through a dreamy 3D landscape 4. Each scroll section reveals a new sleep science fact 5. Use CSS fluid shapes for organic background movement 6. Wide spacing + slow fade-ins let the content breathe 7. Deploy in one click no code, no agency, no $10k budget

I’m with you on this. I hate these posts to my core. They live on awwwards just to leech from it and are stealing from all the amazing creatives. I once tried to reach out one guy who was giving a course with prompts. He explained that he prompted with captures of websites… in other words they say AI is amazing at X or Y or one shotting stuff but they just ask AI to copy (steal)

Word of warning. If you post this kind of shit, where you're knowingly misleading people into thinking the work of others is yours, then your career is going to be short lived. You might gain a lot of followers, but that following will be hollow and meaningless. You'll get hired once then get found out. What's the point?! These posts are a disease and I'm so sick of seeing them.

@edankwan I wonder if platforms see it as a win because it’s even more engagement and activity.

@Samson_Teshale_ Unfortunately, the issue isn't isolated to X. This is happening on all social platforms, but it doesn't seem like much is done when the posts are reported

@JordanGilroy Honestly, if you think about it, people like this won't go far, but I'm afraid they'll ruin the reputation of X, where clients come here to hire the real designers and get scammed by people like this.

The fact that everyone is giving different values in the comments goes to show it’s largely dependent on the typeface, size, and density of text. Do what feels right, even if it’s different to some of the values listed.
Daryl Ginn@darylginn

Okay, let's talk line height. Headings are typically 100%. Can even go to 90% or 110%, it depends. The larger the heading, the less you will need. Body copy is typically 150%, but 140% can also feel right. It depends on the size and line length. Don't overcomplicate it.

007/100 Buttons. This button was way more complex than I first thought. I love the page transition on the Truus site that @codebydennis and @JordanGilroy worked on. So I wanted to use that drawing SVG Path idea somehow and fit it into a button. In best case with a mask effect. The idea was to have an SVG path in the background that fills the button. At the same time, this path should also be used as a mask to reveal the differently colored text. The SVG should also be replaceable and work with other SVGs. For the path animation, I can use the DrawSVGPlugin from @greensock. Sounds like a solid plan. I built the button so far, and it worked great in Chrome and Firefox. In Safari, nope. I used an SVG mask that I referenced through CSS. But Safari can’t handle that properly when the path inside the mask is animated, so the animation lags. There was no simple solution for that. At least I didn’t find something. So I had to rebuild the button in another way. What I found was that the SVG mask animation works in Safari when the mask is placed on the desired element inside the SVG. That’s where foreignObject comes in, it allows you to use normal HTML elements inside an SVG. Using that, I rebuilt the hover text inside the SVG. I then referenced the mask on the foreignObject with a bit of JavaScript. And it worked! The button’s structure looks more complicated than I wanted it to be, but that happens quite often when you need to make something work across different browsers 😃 Crafting 100 Buttons with @osmosupply ⏳ Total time: 96h

004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, it’s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you don’t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesn’t get that jumpy. I’m using here GSAP’s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then I’m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. For the sin() it’s also important to have a max length, so I add another CSS variable with the max char number on it. Crafting 100 Buttons with @osmosupply ⏳ Total time: 63h

I noticed some creative folks on X and LinkedIn blocking me after the launch of Oryzo.ai. I have no clue whether it’s because they hate AI or love AI.

What other hobbies compliments design or a creative mind? I feel like jiu jitsu does compliment it quite well as it’s an outlet AND full of creative problem solving. But I’m looking for other things too!
