Sort of agree but also they’d kind of had to have then announced that he was leaving by mutual agreement… and he’s clearly been sacked. Feels a bit weird to sack someone and then say “but please can you stay for a couple more weeks”

I’m glad they’ve made that decision but it’s just stupid timing from the club. If they’d made the announcement last week he’d have got a proper appreciative send off and despite this season, he absolutely deserved that. Shambles. Let’s hope they get the next steps right.

In so doing he’d be able to prove that he is sincere in his wish to be better, and is doing the non-public stuff for genuine reasons, rather than just as a means to get to headline a festival. It’ll be interesting to see if that is what happens over the next couple of years…

The humble thing for him now to do would be to say he’s disappointed but understands that, for many, not enough time has passed since his previous abhorrent behaviour and that he still wants to atone, meet relevant communities, and - as he says - “show change through his actions”
