So if the reports are true that the FSU mass shooter was a card carrying MAGA fanatic, I expect to see legislation regarding taking action against all of MAGA!
I mean Laken Riley was murdered & all non documented people & possibly more, lost their due process rights via legislation.
I expect a great big beautiful bill to make it to the floor when we return at the end of the month that will surely keep innocent students safe from those that wear MAGA hats since we attribute the actions of ONE to an entire group of people when they commit a heinous act.
Surely we can agree that 2 people dying and 6 more being injured is heinous.
In my utopia, we would pray for the victims, their families, and all those impacted in any way, while also praying that the leaders that not only encourage but enable these types of atrocities would take several seats or just do the right thing & denounce the hate while also legislating the hate & access away.

@EdKrassen They’re okay with a rapist, felon as a president. Are you surprised ?

I’m genuinely baffled. Are people really okay with a former president removing classified documents from the White House, refusing to return them when asked, and then lying to the government about their existence?
Let’s not forget: he didn’t just withhold the documents—he actively hid them from a court-ordered search team. This wasn’t some innocent mistake. This was deliberate obstruction of justice. And after all of that, he claims to be the victim?
How is this acceptable? Is the argument that he somehow had the right to unilaterally take classified materials, lie to federal authorities about them, and obstruct a lawful investigation?
And no, this is not like the Biden documents case. President Biden’s team voluntarily disclosed the discovery of documents, immediately notified authorities, and cooperated fully with the National Archives and the Department of Justice. There was no lying, no hiding, and no obstructing a lawful investigation. Comparing the two is like comparing night and day—they’re not even in the same galaxy of wrongdoing.
Let’s be clear about the stakes here. Mishandling classified documents risks national security. Obstructing efforts to recover them undermines the rule of law. If anyone else had done this—if a member of the military, a government employee, or even another elected official had behaved this way—they’d already be behind bars.
So, which is it? Do people believe Trump was above the law, entitled to break it at will? Or do they simply not care about the dangers and dishonesty his actions represent?
It’s hard to see a third option here—and the implications for justice and accountability couldn’t be more serious.

@MikeSington Everyone commenting that Kamala is petty and a sore loser is obviously forgetting what happened on January 6.

We are 159 days into 2024, and there have already been nearly 200 mass shootings.
On Gun Violence Awareness Day, we continue to urge legislators to act. We need universal background checks, red flag and safe storage laws, and an assault weapons ban.
We don’t have a moment or a life to spare.
