People see the final piece They see it in 5 sec They didn’t see the idea forming They don’t see the photoshoot for refs They don’t see the hundreds of frames I went through one by one searching for the one that was worth it. They don’t see the 40 hours spent drawing the art. And that’s okay ! ✨ The viewer doesn’t need to see the process to feel the result. Unpopular opinion: I’m willing to pay any fees and gas to platforms like SuperRare just so they exist so that everyone, both collectors and creators, has a place to come to for quality art online

@AleyArtist Platforms like SuperRare or Desperse aren’t that different from Etsy or Shopify for artists. The platform takes a fee for storefronts, discovery, trust, and tools. Payment rails take a cut too, whether that’s cards, PayPal, or gas. Fees suck, but good platforms need to exist.

@cozmonika_art Sounds nice in theory, but business is business on both sides. The platforms I’m talking about actually do real work, curation, reputation, infrastructure. I’d rather pay to keep that alive than pretend we don’t need it

@AleyArtist I have a feeling this post might piss some people off 😂 So here’s my question: if we go back to the basics, do you see that platforms need us more than we need them?
