Looks like you finally understand what DEI actually means.
Despite how the right has hijacked its definition, the intent of DEI is to give people who have been historically and systematically barred from competing/advancing, an opportunity. That means people of color, women, the disabled, etc — people who are QUALIFIED, but ignored.
Jackie Robinson was good enough to play in MLB on his own merit, but he needed the opportunity. Let that sink in. And then let it sink in again.
DEI is not giving people “unearned privilege.” It’s just the narrative y’all like to use to justify inequity.

Wrong. Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player held back by racism. That's the exact opposite of DEI, which is giving people unearned privileges based on race, ethnicity, or gender. Removing racism led to the NBA being 70% black. You don't need DEI to employ white people or short people to fill "quotas." You just need a meritocracy to let people succeed according to talent and hard work. Those that don't hire the best and brightest, regardless of race or gender, get penalized by it with a lack of success.
