Dubai is taking another step towards people-centered, low-carbon mobility with the announcement of a new network of driverless pods that will provide last-mile connectivity across four locations – including Dubai Festival City. At Dubai Festival City, the track will be the longest route at around 7 km, with the potential to connect to the Dubai Metro Blue Line in the future. Each autonomous pod seats four to six passengers, can travel up to 250 km on a single charge, runs at 50 km per hour and is designed to move more than 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction.
