@MaarsComics It bothers me because it was traced… draw your own shit, and then they lied about it and said they’d never seen that original before. If you were the artist who had your work traced and made the main subject of someone’s else’s money making project, would you feel the same?

@algonftfam It really depends. This specific case is not bothering me cause it took inspiration and changed almost everything.

The Community is discussing what is acceptable! Do we care if someone traced work from someone else and tweaks it? Do we care if they lie about it and say it wasn’t traced, that they had never seen it? Do we trust that project? discord.gg/UfjDFBRcfk

@ssholegamer @Algloggy If the original artist came and started an nft in this community, would we accuse them of copying algloggy? This community would rip them a new one. However, if someone has been spending money on their “art” they are likely going to have a biased opinion.

@algonftfam @Algloggy Sure the general outline is almost a pure trace, but trait for trait, these are not the same. While this is close to the line, for me it didn’t cross the line. I respect anyone who asks for refund as a result and we must all stick to our own artistic and creative standards. ❤️

This was brought up in their discord, and the project has been DMing folks and offering refunds for those who deem this unacceptable. Personally I think this is more inspired than copied and will continue to support @Algloggy ❤️
