Hi Algofam, it has come to my attention that Algorand Technologies does not feel that my tweet of May 26th, 2025, where I stated that “Algorand Technologies has driven the roadmap, as they control the protocol,” is an accurate representation. While AT is responsible for the “support, maintenance, and ongoing development of the source code” for the protocol, AT has never published a roadmap for the community and has never committed to publishing a roadmap for the community. The words “roadmap” and “control” are subject to interpretation; however, while AT is the only one with write access to the canonical code repository, no protocol upgrade can occur without the approval of 90% of the online stake. I hope this makes it clear. :)
