“The guard of honor is not a humiliation ritual….”😭😭😭

total Barça@totalBarca
The guard of honor is NOT a humiliation ritual. It's a professional responsibility to celebrate the best team in La Liga.

@EseEse71732 @heis_fede You do know hes the 8th most assister of all time right?
English

@heis_fede a retarded take.
"Ronaldo would've been top assister of all time".. and I'm left to wonder if you have any living brain cells, or they're all dead
English

“Even though I played for him”
Niqqa if it wasn’t you Ronaldo would be top assister of all time 😭😭😭

🚨🗣️ Karim Benzema: “It was good playing with Cristiano. I learned a lot from him: the movement in the box, the pressing, the guy was scoring 50 goals a season. Even though I played for him, I still learned a lot.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is the only rightful winner of the 2018 Balon d'Or, and we have receipts...
goatmar@eyesovastats
2018 is such a confusing season. Who is deserved d’Or winner that year? Best player at the WC? Best player for France? I can never fully decide what do y’all think 🤔

There’s nobody in history of football with a better movement than Cristiano Ronaldo, it doesn’t show in stats, but that’s exactly why people underrate it.
Because movement doesn’t get counted. There’s no stat for dragging two centre-backs out of position, no stat for creating space for others, no stat for arriving at the perfect second. But if you actually watch the game, you see it everywhere.
Ronaldo’s movement is what creates the stat.
At Real Madrid, so many goals weren’t about brilliance on the ball, they were about him already winning the battle before he even touched it. The defender is half a step late, the space is already gone, the cross already has a target.
He turns chaos into inevitability.
Look at how he pins defenders
He’ll stand still… lull you into thinking nothing’s happening
Then explode across your blindside
And by the time you react, he’s already in the air
That’s not physicality alone, that’s IQ..
Even players known for movement like Thomas Müller (the Raumdeuter) or Inzaghi lived off space but Ronaldo didn’t just find space, he manufactured it with fear. Defenders were so aware of him that they created gaps just trying to track him.
And that’s the key difference.
With someone like Lionel Messi, the magic is on the ball he attracts defenders to him.
With Ronaldo, the magic is off the ball, he manipulates defenders away from where they should be.
His movement is pure obsession with detail. He studies defenders, he manipulates space, and most importantly, he moves with intent every single time. Watch him at his peak at Real Madrid, he wasn’t just running into the box, he was arriving at the exact second the ball gets there. That’s why he scores those “simple” tap-ins people underrate. They’re not luck, they’re repetition and intelligence.
He does three things better than anyone
Blindside runs: He disappears from a defender’s line of sight, then explodes into space. By the time you react, it’s over.
Timing: Not early, not late perfect. Especially on crosses, he meets the ball at its highest probability point.
Explosiveness over short distances: That first 2–3 steps? That’s where he kills defenders.
That’s why he aged the way he did. When the dribbling reduced, the movement remained and movement is the last thing to go when it’s built on intelligence.
So yeah, it won’t show in stats…
but if you understand football, you know that movement is why the stats are ridiculous in the first place.

The one thing I will always wonder is how did a single player, disproportionately, benefit from so much fraud:
(1) inconsistent BDor criteria to the point of ridiculing the entire tradition with the last two.
(2) 2014 adidas WC POTT while blanking entire KO stage
(3) Negreira scandal in La Liga
(4) Stamford bridge and pens/red cards for the first two UCL wins - and they tried to help them in 11/12 vs chelsea again AND vs inter in 09/10 - almost 4 UCL finals with clear fraud in the SEMIS.
(5) Undue protection in the media.
Extremely bizarre.
My best explanation is Adidas' influence for their most prized athlete, and behind the scenes proactive work from his agents/Barcelona.

Maradona warned us after he won it that Messi only wins these awards and Ballon D’ors because of "FIFA's marketing plan” we all laughed and called him crazy , not so funny now, is it? 😊
