I'm not really sure what to do in these situations but it seems clear that if I concede ground at all now, when I'm mild, it will just be a cycle of appeasement until I'm bedbound and I'm being committed. I'm not being very gracious but still. What else do you do? 4/4

This is sensible, straightforward & really should be entirely uncontentious. Covid is airborne. Masks help reduce the risk of visitors & staff infecting patients & each other at a time of immense NHS pressures. Masks, while cases are so high, make good sense.

don't assume, and never, ever grab. Please ask first and listen to the answer - this woman may have been old and frail, but she knew her own mind and what she needed. Helping has to be a respectful transaction, or it's not help, it's interference.

In the supermarket an old lady was sitting in the vegetable racks, quite composed, ignored by everyone. Did she want a hand? Yes; she'd fallen & couldn't get up. A hand later, off she went. I don't know how long she'd been there. Pls don't ignore oddities or be afraid to help but

@ali_splat @SouthernRailUK Hi Alison, Adam here. There are some services from East Croydon not stopping at Brighton (15:19, 16:19). From what I can see there is no 16:05 service from ECR. Can you confirm which train you are on?

This is horrifying and not at all surprising. Inequalities worsen for gem people and when they're GEM and disabled it seems society just stops caring, and barely starts to help.
