jongseob explaining behind his ‘adaptive perfectionism’ caption 💭 🧩: is jongseob trying to define with this phrase these days? 🐈‍⬛: mm, i think so. i’m trying to be more flexible open-minded, but that doesn’t mean i’m lowering my standards by any means. this isn't so much a sudden thought, but rather something i’ve realized while preparing for albums and going about my daily life. i’ve come to see that not everything fits the standards i’ve set for myself under the concept of ‘perfection’. there are times when not only do the circumstances around me fail to meet the standards i have, but i myself fall short of them, and things don’t go the way i’d like them to. so when it comes to such situations, that’s when the english phrase ‘adaptive perfectionism’ comes into play. 🐈‍⬛: in the past, when i fell short of my standards, instead of just thinking, “oh, this is such a shame,” i never really considered whether i could shift my viewpoint to a different direction, if a sense perfection couldn’t be achieved in this one, or if i could take a different approach. back then, i was very rigid in being convinced that i had to blindly adhere to the direction and standards i had set for myself. so now when i say i’m becoming more flexible, i’m trying to see things from a broader perspective and respond more flexibly. that's what it means. ++ #종섭 #P1Harmony
