@LauraD_PE @coach_samuelT @_WISEducation As well as improving opportunities from a younger age it should be about changing mindsets of young athletes and their communities. Creating a culture where females can coach male athletes as well. So many schools have females coach females and males coach males.

White tops and changing in toilet areas that are typical in primary Pe contribute to negative attitudes towards PE. Come in PE kits or is it even necessary to change?

@beth60795076 @PE_Primary_Ltd @Harding1Clare @ThisGirlCanUK @PrimaryEducate Not doing Art in your curriculum PE lesson but doing physical activities in your art or literacy or history or topic or music etc etc. If you included 1 physically active lesson per medium term plan you would essentially have an extra PE lesson a week.

I agree, find out what the girls enjoy and adapt the curriculum. You can please everyone but often the delivery and chosen sports or activities disengages girls. I wouldn’t necessarily stick to traditional team games.

This is one of many things that will help with developing a positive culture towards being active. Both boys and girls will love it. Developing a positive culture towards sport and physical activity takes time.

@StefaanDefever @IRONMANtri I agree, being given a choice as to what event you can actually make would be a perfectly fair compromise. Funny actually, Finland must not be very popular as that’s the one they transferred me to as well!

@Ivan_Hrusovsky @IRONMANtri Why are the rules differing? If one person is offered a refund then that should be the same for all. It is a fact that this is not happening.

@aliciasmith413 @IRONMANtri This is just not true. I was supposed to take part in IM Barcelona 2020. It didn’t happen. IM gave the opportunity either to take part in IM Barcelona 2021 or take full refund. I understand your disappointment, but it’s pandemic to blame not the IM.

@MrLathamPE @coach_samuelT @RossHill18 @MimoVe Developing fundamentals in primary school children - imaginary paint pots, children jump in the pot and have to “paint” as much of the room by running, jumping, hopping, rolling, etc.

@coach_samuelT @aliciasmith413 @RossHill18 @MimoVe Gymnastics and Paint is always an idea with the right year group! Painted hands and feet + cartwheels and movements 🤙🏼 Just make sure it’s the most mature class!
