很多台湾朋友回复我说： “谢谢你喜欢台湾，但台湾的交通真的很糟。” 我认真想了下，这话可能不太成立。 台湾交通的问题本质只有一个：摩托车太多。 绿灯一亮，一整片机车同时起步，视觉上确实“炸裂”，第一次看会觉得非常混乱、甚至有点吓人。 但关键在于—— 看起来乱不等于真的乱。 这种极高密度的车流中，事故率却很低。 我在台湾累积接近一个月，几乎没见过交通事故。 换句话说，这是一个高流动但有序的系统。这个连洛杉矶都比不了。 有人劝我下次去台湾租车体验交通。 说实话，我不会这样做。 台北、纽约、东京这种集中型城市，本来就不适合开车： 通行效率低、车位难找，停车还贵。 地铁为主，出租车为辅，才是更优的通行方式。 至于“台北交通很糟”这个评价要看怎么比。 有兴趣可以去中国大陆一些号称最发达、素质最高、秩序最好的地区试试看，比如长三角。 尤其要在最应该礼让的学校周围看，看看上下学高峰， 你会知道什么叫真正的“交通混乱”， 即使交警协警极力维护， 依然是车顶车、人挤人、见缝插针。 如果你选择礼让，可能永远过不了路口。 那种强度的博弈， 台北没有，纽约没有，东京也没有。 所以回头看台北—— 它不是没有问题，而是属于另一种形态： 有规则的混乱，有默契的高密度。 你可以不喜欢， 但说它“糟糕”， 可能是因为没见过真正的糟糕是什么样子的。 配图：夏威夷就很适合租车自驾。

@teja2495 If not for chromebooks, what does it compete against. It cant do app dev, video editing or even games which are few. Its a glorified safari book which is double the price of what a normal chromebook does

MacBook Neo could become the reason why Windows laptops die in the US. Only gamers and people who rely on Windows-exclusive software will use them. Many people say 8 GB of RAM is too little. But the truth is, on MacOS, that 8 GB of RAM is very usable for regular tasks. I used an M1 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM for three years and it worked fine for the most part. It was not enough for my mobile development work, but most people are not developers, video editors, or other power users. With education discount its $500 now, after a year or so, you will get used Macbook Neo for $300. This is a nightmaire for windows laptops.
