@mcpoliti Oh gah, I would love to talk to anyone who actually *likes* this as a patient. I feel like it’s a spectrum from “huh? That’s out of range. I wonder what that means.” to “OMFG I AM DYING!!” These reports are made for people with medical training. Dramatic changes needed.
Most patients support receiving immediate test results via a patient portal, but some patients experienced increased worry, especially when test results were abnormal. We can do a better job with these displays to facilitate understanding. #MDMTwitterjamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…

Academic hot take: requiring PhD students to publish a dissertation manuscript in a journal before they can graduate is pointless, cruel, and stressful for everyone involved. Please everyone stop doing this.

@academic_exit@DusetzinaS This right here was the best advice I got before starting my doctoral training. Your job is to gain skills and write a thesis, not to compose your life’s greatest works. It should be good, but it doesn’t have to define your future career.
PhDs: your dissertation topic is less relevant to finding a role outisde of academia than your *skills*.

@iPage your interface is terrible! I have been on with customer service for 3 hours and it’s resulted in a mistakenly deleted user that I can’t restore. The agents are nice but whatever I was instructed to do deleted this active user.
