I then use cash if possible & usually other customers join queue. ‘Self service is popular’ if no alternative

I showed the bar code of my M&S bag to the auto till. I loaded my shopping into it. I was asked how many bags I had. I tapped ‘none’ because I didn’t want to pay for the bag twice. Supervisor says I should have pressed ‘one’ bag. Big stand-off at the M&S auto till…

There used to be a charity called the Spastic society but because of the way that people used it as an insult they changed the name to Scope.

When he is old enough he can decide for himself if he wants to serve in the military. His parents have only said that military service is not mandatory for any of their children despite the tradition.

Just like every Queen Consort in history. For a little while after Queen Elizabeth died she was called Queen consort to avoid confusion, but that is a description not a title
