Slight change to Old Crocks Schedule for Friday.

Looking forward to YM's Annual Old Crocks Day with the club honouring Derek Brownlie, Frank McParland, Les Goodfellow and Angus McConnell who meant so much to everyone.

It is with great regret and tremendous sadness that we have to announce that Club Legend and all round good guy Derek Brownlie has passed away. Derek fought his illness several times over many years and he never changed from being a easy going lovely guy who always looked out for others first and foremost. Seen below on the right with his relative and very close friend Ross McDonagh, who plays with the YM's WoSFL Snr team. Derek came to the 'YM 41 years ago as a young 18 year old player where he played over the next few decades in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams as well as at many Old Crocks' Days. Derek was well travelled with the YM going to Denmark, London, Dublin amongst many other places. Once his playing days were over Derek still watched the YM and when the club took over Kirktonholne in 2019 Derek became a regular volunteer looking after the place and making many new friends along the way. Derek was someone who everyone would only have a good word to say about and we were lucky to have had him as a friend and a team mate. He will be sorely missed and our thoughts go to his mum Evelyn, wife Laura, son Lewis, daughter Rebecca, Abbey, Ross and the rest of the family. There will be a minute's silence at all 'YM games this weekend to show our respect for our good friend and wonderful human being that was Del.

@scottcalexander @CaledonianAFA I’m pretty sure both teams management will be fully aware of any suspensions and ensure no suspended players are planned to be in team lineups..like every well run club should 😳..saves either club having to point it out, avoiding them from forfeiting the game🤨

Ahead of tonight's EKYM v Giffnock North league game a minute's silence was held in respect for Frank McParland who sadly passed away. Frank was a volunteer at Kirktonholme who worked tirelessly for the Club and loved how it was growing and advancing. Pictured here after building 400m of fencing over 2 weeks at Kirktonholme. Digging holes, breaking boulders, lifting fencing, nothing was too much for Frank. An active and keen Walking Footballer who was known to 'run' the occasional time. He will be sorely missed and I'll miss his stories of his work when he was in the middle East. Our thoughts are with Moira, John Paul, Simon and family.

What’s worse..EKYM highlighting they were about to play a couple of suspended players before game or saying nothing then waiting till after game, regardless of result…Dinamo played well but taking shine of a decent performance against a good team with this stuff

Drum players knew about both being missing today after you played them last week as someone from your club told them. YM could have let you play them but told you beforehand, not many clubs would have done that.

The Paisley guys played well but would appear to have been let down by their admin, as well as their discipline before and during today’s game with 2 men sent off .
