I think cat szn will be different to dog szn. If we think about the 2023 / 2024 cycle, dog szn only really had 2 runners - $bonk & $wif All other new dog coins never really seemed to be original, build communities or gain any substantial traction. If we disregard $doge & $shib, given they haven't really done any real multiples this cycle yet AND the fact that they were around from the previous cycle(s), it's pretty much a 2 dog race, with majority of liquidity going to these 2 new dog coins. Given there were already 2 dog coins in the deca billions, this gives precedent for the new cycle dog front runner to join them in the deca billion club. Cat szn seems to be somewhat different, I can see multiple original cats, building their own unique communities. What does this mean? Well, firstly cat szn is pretty much a new narrative for this cycle, so there aren't any existing $1b+ cat coins. So, I used to think that only $sc & $popcat would reach the $1b+ mark, but with $michi gaining good traction too, I think we could end up with 4 or 5 cat coins in the billions. Given there aren't any existing cat coins in the deca billion club, I think the leading cat coin will top out at $10b, but will find it difficult to go higher. That is still obviously many multiples higher than any cat coin is now. If you missed $wif then I think you need to really look into the cat meta.

@Michael43650251 @CryptoMichNL Higher liquidity altcoins are indeed safer plays suitable for bigger portfolios. However, some of these coins are performing extremely weak, even during the last 6 months like DOT or ADA So more liquidity doesn't mean it's always a safer play

Old coins continue to provide bad returns as $MATIC is on a cycle low. It's in the area of interest, but you should wonder whether it is going to generate a lot of return or whether a new coin is going to yield higher upwards returns. To me: I stick to new coins.
