★★★☆☆ Just read Queen of Nothing! It’s magical how we come to know Elfhame through its rulers, how beautifully the world is constructed, with magic woven into every detail. Watching Jude unravel is painful, yet it’s impossible not to get drunk on power alongside her.

𓏲ּ𝄢 Cardan is always the one to lay his heart before Jude, letting her do with it as she will. he trusts her so deeply, he wants to belong among the people she finds worthy of trust. he was indeed not lying when he called her his god.

the more power jude holds, the less human she appears, yet she never outruns the vulnerability she fears the most. her bond with cardan is one of the most beautiful parts of the story, just as intense as everything else we see just as enchanting

★★★★☆ just read the wicked king !! is such a beautiful, beautiful book. the world of faeries keeps expanding, and it all feels so magical. the web of lies is constructed like a castle of cards that finally collapses at the end.

and when she finally acknowledges herself as his daughter is when she’s able to turn her blade on him, because by then she understands what it truly means to love the way he does

there’s this constant fear in her of becoming like him, paired with a deep yearning for his approval of being recognized as worthy of being called his daughter. she begins to slip into the same patterns he lives by.

𓏲ּ𝄢 jude’s bond with Madoc is one of the most beautiful aspects of the story. It’s so well constructed, the constant dilemma of loving the father who raised you while hating the man he truly is. jude can’t allow herself to lean on the love madoc offers because it’s stained

every relationship is so ingrained in the plot, everything leads us to uncover her secrets, who she is, and who she becomes. I haven’t enjoyed a book like this in a long time.

★★★★★ just read The Cruel Prince!! What a beautiful story. the prose is magical and takes you through every step jude takes in Elfhame. jude duarte is one of the most beautifully written characters i’ve read; she alone makes this book captivating.
