@allfixion2 @L5nc_Yu5_0sx1 If anything I feel South Indian movie industries except for Malyalam are probably more colorist than Bollywood. They hire native guys for male roles and light skinned North Indians for female roles just for the male gaze .

Brown/dark indian origin girls are admired for their beauty more in foreign countries than in india.

@allfixion2 @L5nc_Yu5_0sx1 Avantika is on the darker side by Bollywood standards who prefer North Indian skin tone more ( Olive - Light brown ) but we have had a fair share of iconic bollywood actresses with the shame shade if not darker like Deepika Padukone , Priyanka Chopra , Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.

@conangaki As a european person, I try to respect every religion, but you still hear lots of bad things of muslim people. You basically see them as very violent to their women and we, as women from non-muslim culture, are usually very scared of the muslims even from our own country
