@itsLonelyshark It genuinely feels like such a bizarre plan. I had to skip pre-ordering anything from them because I couldn't justify the price. Scalpers are a huge problem in the Pokemon TCG space, but temporarily raising prices to scalper level as a deterrent doesn't seem like the answer.

Is anyone actually buying EB Games big ‘this was our plan all along’ annoucement around the Pokemon 30th anniversary pricing adjustment? I seriously doubt if there wasn’t enough backlash they would have just kept their insane marked up pricing.

@shivjam Yeah, their checkout system was completely broken. I don't think anyone ended up being able to preorder anything in the initial drop. I was stuck in a checkout loop for almost an hour.

@alli90 Yeah $600 for some thing JB had for $360 was insane! I heard JB had a lot of issues though with their website… so I’m a bit unsure when to check again 😭

Got in on @EBGamesAus pokemon 30th launch! All products available for preorder, I was so excited. But when I went to my checkout it kept trying to charge me 100% of the cost not the 10-50$ preorder per it advertised. As I was trying to work out why, my whole cart sold out. GGs 👍🏻
