Spatial variables explained the most variability in the non-Harmattan models, while temporal variables were dominant in the Harmattan models. We also showed that PM2.5 levels in the metropolis exceeded the WHO IT-3 (15 μg/m3), with the highest exposures in poorer neighborhoods.

@STOTEN_journal This work integrated large-scale measured data with geospatial and meteorological variables in seasonal land-use regression (LUR) models to map PM2.5 and BC concentrations for the entire metropolis.

There is no one size fits all approach to designing and implementing a sensor network, and it must be designed with the local context in mind #PathwaysICUH #ICUH22

In #Accra, @Pathways2Equity implemented a large-sensor network to gather data on air pollution, urban sounds, meteorology, and street-view #imagery (for #pollution source identification) implemented over 1 year in 2019/2020. Core sites from the network are still running today.

Latest paper from my PhD at @ImperialSPH with @Pathways2Equity has been published on spatial modelling of environmental #noise in #Accra Ghana. We also looked at how noise exposures were patterned unequally across the city by neighbourhood SES 🧵 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
