Something I've been noticing lately is the inconvenience isn't always the thing itself. Sometimes it's the task-switching that comes with it. I've had a few appointments get rescheduled this week after I'd already planned my day around them. My first thought is usually, "Okay, what can I work on right now instead?" But when I don't know whether I have 20 minutes or 2 hours, decision fatigue kicks in. Suddenly the challenge isn't finding something to do, it's figuring out what's actually worth starting. I'm realizing that adaptability isn't just staying positive when plans change. It's having a system for what to do next when they do. Curious if anyone else experiences this. Soooooo I’m in the middle of a thunderstorm that knocked the lights out. 😬⛈️ I could be upset or frustrated that I can’t do all things I wanted with the WiFi I need…this tweet is actually gonna take a while to upload because my cell service doesn’t get much reception in my area to begin with. I also received the wrong items for a shipment yesterday, and need to go to do a USPS drop off… but in this crazy weather right now? Mm not worth it. Instead of forcing myself to be in a dangerous situation of driving through this thunderstorm to get to a coffee shop, that may or may not have WiFi either, I could take this moment to slow down, clean around our home, do some of the things I’ve been putting off like looking for some items I’ll be needed to pack for my upcoming trip. I was so excited to be locked in on some work today, go get a coffee, run that errand etc, but I am so grateful to have a moment to slow down and enjoy my cozy environment while the storm passes. It’s been TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!!!!! & we’re only halfway through the day! A day full of putting out great energy & receiving great energy as well. ✨💫 • it’s been raining & usually that impacts my mood, but I’ve actually been soooooo UPPPP!! • had a service appt for my vehicle & I normally just chill & get some work in while I’m waiting, but this time I did take the opportunity for their shuttle service to go to one of my fav coffee shops • the coffee I had was BOMB! & the vibes were chill, cozy & some of my fav jams were playing! • one of my deep, fulfilling bond with a friend who hardly see now, also ended up popping into work there today & we got to share such an emotional connection speaking to each other again & being in each other’s presence • had an eye doc appt with staff that I’ve gone to for years, moved into a brand new building & the process was sooo smooth & the doc explained everything so well & the tech gave me such good, sweet, loving energy!! • just filled my tank!! • about to get some groceries • looking forward to a group call later w/ @ugcbykeeley 🤩💻 • looking forward to a yummy meal!!
