omg and then this ties back to humor being the foundation of their relationship because when Lucifer laughs he's using all of his face features which means he's genuine which means Alastor is SEEING lucifer which ties to the monocle of seeing reality which ties to his oEYES

uhh...the radioapple part of this? Maybe it can be interpreted that they grasp the importance of this and don't just *see* this part of each other like everyone else does. I thought wayyy to hard on his I just wanted to make a "they analyze EVERTHING" joke.

But that honestly sets up the message that sometimes the truth isn't always the right thing to look at, that maybe he has to set down the "monocle" and see a person—just the person—to understand reality, not truth, but reality since it's the most sensitive thing to mess with.
