Elle a survécu, mais est devenue paraplégique et souffre de fortes douleurs neuropathiques. Son père avait fait appel de la décision et, avec le soutien d'une équipe d'avocats chrétiens, a tenté d'empêcher sa fille de recourir à l'euthanasie. Après deux ans de procédure, toutes les juridictions – des tribunaux administratifs espagnols à la Cour suprême et à la Cour constitutionnelle, jusqu'à la Cour européenne des droits de l'homme (CEDH) – ont ratifié le droit de Noelia à mettre fin à ses jours. Nous allons prier et espérer un miracle.
