@UVA_PCCM @UVABME @UVAimmunology had an awesome time @#ICLAF2022. These rising investigators did a great job presenting their awesome work. Thnx to @ggudmund @IPFdoc etc for organizing, the 4 yr wait was worth it! Looking forward to 🇬🇷 2024

Remarkable work by @ElizabethRedent evaluating PF models. The detail to age and sex differences were a highlight for me!

Amazing talk on a very important topic, mouse models to study lung fibrosis.

Very interesting talk by @alpha_SMgrAce at #ICLAF2022 🇮🇸 on Reduction in circulating monocytes correlates with persistent post-COVID pulmonary fibrosis in multi-omic comparison of long-haul COVID and IPF. Grace, our Manchester ILD Team would like to keep in touch with you. Thanks

@LPearmain @lizziemannlab Would love to chat more! Happy to either grab coffee here or set up a zoom once we are all back.

Great talk by @alpha_SMgrAce on circulating monocytes in COVID ILD. We have been studying monocytes in COVID-19 recovery with the @lizziemannlab in Manchester, UK with interesting results too. Would be good to catch up and chat! #ICLAF2022

Intriguing data from @alpha_SMgrAce on PBMC in post-COVID PF vs IPF. HLA-DR+ monocytes suppressed in late resolving COVID PF cf controls, but much lower still in IPF. Possible contrast with other cohorts showing increased IPF monocyte counts... #ICLAF2022 medrxiv.org/content/10.110…
English

@Isteefer In the future I would like to integrate our data set with other IPF PBMC sets to improve the power and see if our finding still stands!
English

@Isteefer Fantastic question! A lot of the previous data on monocyte abundance shows it as a marker of severity, so it’s possible our cohort is in a different phase of disease. I also saw a poster @ICLAF2022 on how seasonal temperature may affect mono counts.
