Looking for new audio books to listen to. I like scifi, fantasy, urban fantasy... but if you've got suggestions outside of those I'll take it into consideration too. Just finding an audio book is the answer to helping me not get bored when working out.

@Brossentia How do you point out an injustice if you hide it. It's a video game not a novel, but I appreciate we see Wakka as having issues with Al Bhed because it highlights a world view of that society. Otherwise, the outcast vibes are considerably weaker. We can't just picture the ideal.

As a writer, I completely agree. Heck, some of the best fiction I've read has characters who NEVER get over their problematic behavior. Fiction gives you the chance to view the world through different, flawed eyes.

This is part of a worrying trend in fiction where viewers/readers conflate flawed characters with their creators, and assume depicting something is to promote it. You can’t have a character arc without flaws and you can’t critique society without depicting flawed characters

@Bizsnes I can't speak for Target. I'm able to speak from my understanding having worked at Best Buy. Companies are going to make decisions based on profits, and its unfortunate that this is a trend I saw in Best Buy.
