I think one of my biggest issues beyond all them being morons is this weird act of pretending that Lupita Nyong'o really isn't one of the most beautiful women in the world. The amount of loser energy you have to have to accomplish such a feat has to be unbearable.

@desdexer @hemipolitics @Acyn And they don't. My station rarely takes an address unless required by our affiliated network. We simply report about it after the fact. You'd be shocked how many special report cut-ins we get throughout the year.

But this is not those when the president is rehashing the same talking points and grievances from the last six years. Editorial opted to not take it live and report after. It's their right.

The Pres can just come on TV for a boring speech any time he feels like talking, and cut the prime time feed. No lie

@desdexer @hemipolitics @Acyn Yeah babe, not how it works. There is no FCC obligated to interrupt programming for a presidential address like this. And even if network does take, many times affiliate stations can opt out of the cut-in if it's not a major announcement like a declaration of war.

@hemipolitics @Acyn He wants Major news networks to do their job and show every Presidential address. It's not up for debate, if they refuse they will become a different kind of TV channel. CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox are all obligated to do that. Cable TV can have stronger opinions but the 4 main can't
