One of the BIGGEST green flags you can have as a client? It is 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲.
I genuinely appreciate clients who take the time to discuss their budget with me instead of just saying “how much?” or disappearing when they see my rate. Negotiation doesn’t mean forcing me to lower my price — it means 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟𝐰𝐚𝐲, understanding the value of the service, and finding a setup that works for BOTH sides.
As commers, we don’t just pull numbers out of nowhere. Our rates include time, skill, effort, and experience. So when a client communicates openly and honestly, it shows respect for the craft AND the person behind it. If you can’t afford the full rate right away? No problem — 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤. Maybe we can adjust the scope, timeline, or deliverables. Communication solves more than ghosting ever will.
