Yesterday, our team led by @AnshuRa77858639 met the Secretary, DLSA Haridwar to brief her about Chhanv Foundation, our ongoing work, and the vision for a deeper, long-term collaboration to support acid attack and burn survivors. The meeting was extremely positive and opened up strong possibilities for structured collaboration at both district and state levels. Discussions focused on survivor rehabilitation, employment linkages, data sharing, legal support, and capacity building through PLVs. Haridwar was also discussed as a potential pilot district, with guidance to formally approach SLSA Nainital to expand the impact across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand. Such institutional partnerships are crucial to ensure justice, dignity, rehabilitation, and sustainable livelihoods for survivors. We look forward to taking these conversations forward with concrete action on ground. Together, we move closer to a system that truly supports survivors beyond compensation. #stopacidattacks #chhanvfoundation #acidattacksurvivors #legalsupport #survivorrehabilitation

Today, we lost Tarana! Tarana was brutally attacked with acid in November in Gwalior by her late husband’s elder brother after she refused an immoral and unlawful demand. The attack left her with severe burns and life-threatening injuries. Following the attack, Tarana was admitted to a local hospital that was not equipped to treat patients with extensive burns. At the time, Madhya Pradesh did not have a dedicated and effective response system for acid attack survivors. When this case reached us through our Agra centre, almost a month had already passed. Chhanv Foundation intervened immediately and arranged Tarana’s transfer from Gwalior to @aiims_newdelhi, where she was admitted under the supervision of Dr. Shivangi Saha. From the day of her admission, her case was treated as high priority. She underwent multiple surgeries, and several more were planned as part of her long recovery process. Despite receiving advanced medical care and every possible effort by the doctors, deep infections had already spread inside her wounds due to the delay in treatment. Tragically, Tarana could not be saved. We are deeply saddened by her passing and stand in solidarity with her family during this extremely painful time. More details and further actions will follow. #acidviolence #stopacidattacks #justicefortarana

This reel exists because Tarana doesn’t. She was attacked with acid. She fought for her life. And on 04 January 2026, she lost that fight. This is not just about one man’s crime. This is about delayed treatment. Broken systems. And a response that came too late. An acid attack does not end with the attack. It continues in hospitals that are not equipped. In delays that turn injuries into deaths. In a system that fails survivors again and again. Do not watch this reel and scroll away. Your silence is part of the problem. Raise your voice. Demand justice. Demand the strictest punishment for her murderer. Demand systemic reform so no survivor is left to die waiting. Comment. Share. Speak up. Make this reel louder until accountability follows. #justicefortarana #endacidviolence #systemfailedher #standwithsurvivors #chhanvfoundation

What is our duty as citizens? Our duty is not limited to sympathy posts or forwarding news. Our duty is to refuse silence. To ask uncomfortable questions. To demand systems that protect life, not just record death. Citizenship means standing with the weakest, especially when doing so gives us no reward, no applause, no visibility. If we do not speak when the most violated die quietly, we should not be surprised when injustice becomes normal.

Today, we said our last goodbye to Tarana. Her family has taken her mortal remains to her hometown, where the burial will take place later this evening. We respectfully appeal to the Gwalior district administration and local public leaders to be present and stand with the family. If you are in Gwalior, please find time to come and say your final goodbye to Tarana. @dmgwalior @gwalior @CMMadhyaPradesh @DrMohanYadav51 @ChouhanShivraj @StopAcidAttacks @CafeSheroes_Del @aajtak @ndtv @thesheroestv

She locked her beauty parlour like she did every day. She stepped onto a familiar road, surrounded by shops, people, noise, life. She had no idea that within seconds, everything would be taken from her. Two men stopped her. Asked for directions. And then acid was thrown on her face. In a crowded market. In broad daylight. Her screams cut through the street as her skin burned, her eyes blurred, and her body gave up. She collapsed into a drain, fighting unimaginable pain, while her attackers vanished without fear. Today, a 37-year-old woman is lying in a hospital bed, her face severely burned, her future uncertain. She is battling for her life. And the people who did this are still free. This is not just cruelty. This is a failure of the system. How is acid still so easy to access? How do criminals escape so effortlessly? Why does justice arrive only after lives are destroyed? An acid attack does not end in one moment. It scars the body forever. It haunts the mind forever. It changes a life forever. Anger is not enough anymore. Sympathy is not enough. We need arrests. We need strict control on acid sales. We need fast-track justice. Do not scroll past this. Speak up. Share. Demand answers. Demand accountability. Because silence allows this to happen again. And next time, it could be someone else. #nomoresilence #endviolenceagainstwomen #demandjustice #banacid #stopacidattacks

I want to report a serious cyber fraud that happened to me just a few hours ago. I received an SMS claiming to be from DTDC saying my courier delivery had failed twice and I needed to pay ₹25 to avoid the parcel being returned. The link looked genuine, so I clicked it and entered my card details. The page asked for an OTP and when I entered it the payment failed, but ₹49,989.45 was deducted from my ICICI credit card (Auth ID: 147928). Thinking the OTP was incorrect, I tried again and another ₹73,554.97 was deducted (Auth ID: 680161). I only realised I had been hacked when ICICI Bank called me for transaction confirmation. This is a sophisticated scam, and I request urgent action from authorities to trace and stop this network. @ICICIBank @RBI @Cyberdost @MHAIndia @Uppolice @KanpurPolice @dgpup @DTDCIndia #CyberCrime #OnlineFraud

Mamta from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, lived through a horror that no woman should ever face. On a quiet evening in Sain Mohalla, her husband Nand Lal poured acid on her face and back and then pushed her off the roof of their home. A man who should have stood by her became the very reason she suffered unimaginable pain. Neighbours heard her screams and ran to help. They found her burned, bleeding, and fighting for every breath. She was rushed to the Zonal Hospital in Mandi and later referred to PGI Chandigarh because her burns were too severe. For days she battled between life and death, but the cruelty inflicted on her was too much. Mamta lost her life. This was not the first time she faced violence. Nand Lal, who ran a tea stall, had been abusing her for a long time. What began as verbal and physical abuse ended in a brutal assault that took everything from her. A home that should have been her safe space became the place where she was tortured, burned, and thrown off a roof. An FIR was filed. The husband was arrested. But can one arrest erase the terror she lived through? Can it undo the pain she endured? Can it bring her back? Mamta’s death is not just a tragedy. It is a question. A question for all of us. How is acid still being sold? How can a man decide life and death for a woman? How many more women must die before our system wakes up? Her story is a mirror reflecting everything that is broken in our society. A woman begged for safety. The world failed her. Now her voice remains in the cries of her children, in the grief of her family, and in the anger of every person who demands justice. Mamta may no longer be with us, but her fight cannot end here. We demand justice for her. We demand harshest punishment for the accused. We demand real action against acid sale. We demand protection for every woman. Do not scroll past her story. Stand with Mamta. Raise your voice. Share this post. Comment and demand justice. Drop a ✊ to show you stand with Mamta in her fight for dignity. #justiceformamta #stopacidattacks #mandi #HimachalPradesh #mandicase #chhanvfoundation

I heard a discussion on @thesheroestv and I couldn’t sleep that night; the words kept echoing. And then I tried drafting a comment but could only write a poetry. #StopAcidAttacks #eyeforaneye #JusticeIsDue
