serious cultural and intellectual work are increasingly unsustainable as anything more than a hobby. yeah the US has never been the necessary state intervention to democratize them but it's really bad right now

Wrote about how we can think about Xinjiang without being useful idiots for the US nor the PRC. Refusing the nationalist blackmail (pro-US/anti-Ch + anti-US/pro-Ch) means examining links of global capital + global counterterrorism and, ofc, to 'always historicize!'
