@altmansgf I really dont think this was Meg's doing. She loves Kim/Teddy. And Kim loves her. Kim and Camilla have been the golden kids all season when it comes to Meg. the network probably said they need to go bc they're both making more than Caterina (sadly). + cant touch Jim/Chandra.

@altmansgf True. Thats why I keep saying please bring Meredith back. When she was in every episode the stories made more sense. More connected. But it’s really the writing choices. The cast pay the price.

@R_W_A_S That was my dream! No one handles the show’s writing with as much care as Krista Vernoff. It would be far more interesting to have her return than to let Meg and her nonsensical ideas ruin the show even further.

@altmansgf Not 100% sure but the fans were taking about it. When Kim & Cam started posting daily from the set & the 450 celebration & Kim made herself center of all the pictures & such. Again I’m just writing what I read.

@CorneliaStBlues i thought the same thing! in his farewell message from greys, he mentioned that it was time to build something from scratch, and the first thing i thought was that he might have asked to leave… idk, of course we can’t say for sure, but that’s what it seems like.

@altmansgf @kimsxraver Idk I think Kevin might have asked to be let go or at least is okay with it. He just announced his new production company in the aftermath of him leaving Grey's. Which would've been in he worka for a while. A production company isn't something you just launch out of nowhere.

@Capisha55 aaa okay! even so, it’s really hard to accept that my favorite character is leaving like this. there were so many things i wish they had explored about teddy’s life. but anyway, i just hope she comes back at least as a guest character. 😢

@altmansgf In TV, “one year left” doesn’t mean guaranteed. The studio/network holds the option not the actor. So they can choose not to pick it up, renegotiate terms (lower pay, fewer episodes), or offer a reduced deal the actor can take or leave.

@Capisha55 it’s strange, because if the issue was budget cuts, why would they hire more new actors? besides, if their contracts were supposed to run until next year, they could’ve just reduced the number of episodes with teddy and owen, like they did with amelia.

@altmansgf I don’t agree with it, but Veteran cast like Kim and Kevin are among the highest paid, so not picking up that last option year saves a lot of money. Their renewal was probably contingent on cutting budgets & episode order.
