Here we have @globalnews with a heartwarming story about a “transgender child” from Toronto, which ticks all the boxes for ruining a child’s life based solely on stereotypes.
This woman’s daughter announced at five years old that she’s a boy.
However, we are told that the signs had been present since she was a toddler.
What were those signs?
- Screaming when asked to wear a dress for Thanksgiving dinner
- Adamant about wanting short hair
- Disliking a baby photo of herself wearing a dress
That’s it. Those were the signs.
How people can’t see that this harmful ideology is based on nothing but regressive stereotypes is beyond me.
Now, this six-year-old girl is being raised as a boy. The adults in her life are telling her that she is a boy. When she hits puberty, she’s going to want puberty blockers because going through the “wrong puberty” is simply not an option. She’s a boy. Her parents told her so. Her doctors told her so. Her teachers told her so. How can she possibly develop breasts and have periods when she’s a boy?
Then, she’ll need to take testosterone. Because she’s a boy. Maybe she’ll have a bilateral mastectomy.
But at the end of it all, she’ll be a boy with a vagina. So then she has two choices: be a “man” with a vagina, or have her forearm skinned and a pseudo-penis fashioned out of the tissue and sewn onto her groin. Because that’s sure to help her mental well-being.
There is no happy ending to this story, and her parents are the ones who did this to her. A change of name and pronouns might seem harmless. It might seem the compassionate thing to do to alleviate the suffering of a child who is “different,” but it sets off a chain reaction that leads to a lifetime of inauthenticity, often with an enormous medical burden.

@JulianLare @LoveRunandPray @Morbidful @SussexIncidents @sussex_police I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s despicable and distressing behaviour.

On August 25th 2016, 19-year-old Shana Grice was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Michael Lane, who was stalking her. She had reported this to the police five times.
Following their breakup, Lane put a tracker device on her car which notified him via his mobile phone every time her vehicle moved.
On 8 February 2016, Grice complained to police about being stalked by Lane after receiving unwanted flowers and damage to her car.
On 24 March 2016, Lane snatched her phone and grabbed her hair. He was arrested on suspicion of assault but later released and Grice was issued with a fixed penalty notice by the police for wasting their time by not disclosing she had been in a relationship with him.
On 9 July 2016, Lane used a stolen key to let himself into her home and watch her while she was apparently sleeping. She was actually awake, had heard his footsteps and hid under the duvet. She heard a man breathing in her room. Shortly afterwards, the man left, and when Grice looked out her window she saw Lane walking away. He was arrested for theft, given a police caution and told to stay away from Grice.
The following day, 10 July 2016, she received around seven phone calls from a blocked number, including one with heavy breathing. She was told there were no further lines of inquiry and the case would be left on file.
On 12 July 2016, she reported to police that she was being followed by Lane. Police treated the case as "low risk", but that the investigating officer would be made aware.
On 4 August 2016, she saw Lane loitering outside her home. She confided in her friend, Joann Pumphrey, that she was afraid that police wouldn't believe her because of her previous fine for wasting police time. Although Joann was a witness to this, Grice didn't report the incident to the police.
On 25 August 2016, Lane waited until Grice was alone at home, then let himself in, slit her throat and set fire to her bedroom with her in it. Lane was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years.

Since @billybragg has honoured me with a response, I'm going to indulge in a long 🧵 to give me the space to argue that he is dangerously wrong about free expression. Here goes:

@runthinkwrite And I thought only Donald Trump and Elon Musk believed free speech is absolute.

@HJoyceGender @HJoyceGender I’m Jenny from the article. Thank you so much for posting this. What the article doesn’t mention is that the venue has cancelled my events after 4.5 years of using their venue. All because I’ve announced that men are not permitted to attend these lesbian events…

This story is immensely distressing. Lesbians being investigated for bigotry simply because they have the temerity to hold a speed-dating event from which men are excluded. I don't know how anyone can defend this. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

@LindaAshton2 @RealityEnthusi2 Every account of ‘trans’ children is riddled with gender stereotyping of toys or clothes OR involves a parent who wanted a child of particular sex OR parents who are anti gay AND a parent revelling in being ‘special’. Every single time.
Analyse the back stories in plain sight.
English

I've been accused of implying that people who believe in gender ideology are of lower intelligence, lack critical thinking skills, etc. Allow me to clarify.
I'm not implying these things — I'm stating them, unequivocally.
Only a deeply impressionable mind could accept and perpetuate this glaringly obvious con.
You've abandoned your mental faculties in favor of a mass delusion, and are now complicit in the sterilization and mutilation children, the abolition of sex classes and of sex-based rights, and the destruction of humanity as we know it.
Congratufuckinglations, idiots.

English

@stevlandambrose @RealityEnthusi2 Sometimes there are only absolutes. Especially where protecting children is concerned. Do you think we shouldn’t call it out? Do you expect us to be polite about what’s being done?
English

@RealityEnthusi2 Sick of people on both sides of this debate only dealing in absolutes.
Adults on one side pointing their finger and calling the other side ignorant and evil.
The other side behaving exactly the same.
It would be a gross display if it 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 involve children. But it does.

@Mistwold10 @RealityEnthusi2 How does prescribing hormones affect a doctor’s salary? This is not how it works.
English

@JeremysChaos @EmeraldCityMD @RealityEnthusi2 It’s not. This guy is either super thick, clueless or trolling.
English

@EmeraldCityMD @RealityEnthusi2 The concept of a doctor has changed dramatically in the last 80yrs as well as how they provide "care". I didn't think this was new information.

‘It all feels desperately sad. I suspect the vast majority of us just want to go back the days of Father Ted, of Jenny Eclair and Lily Savage and The League of Gentlemen, of robust and vulgar and joyful humour and a genuinely inclusive, forgiving atmosphere. My two penn'orth on the Glinnerectomy. You might feel you have heard everything you need to on this issue but I assure you there are at least three new nob gags in this piece to restore order and sanity. Humourless scolds have taken over comedy spiked-online.com/2023/08/19/hum…

@OldRoberts953 It's not the knob gags we're objecting to, but the knob saying them. Personally, I don't want him gagged. Let him speak. Yesterday, when I said that if his anxiety is causing him problems perhaps he needs a perspective on his activism, I got abuse from his followers. Hey ho

@SBoona @mikesalter74 In a vacuum that would work. Trouble seems to be that early on the bias is still being reinforced hence need for women only competitions until it filters through. There’s still belief that women’s brains aren’t as good! Unbelievable this is so but there it is.
English

@alys_griff @mikesalter74 I think that there’s a preponderance because historically it was seen as a man’s sport - if children were introduced to chess with no gender bias there’s no reason why there wouldn’t be as many women as male top players. To say otherwise is saying women’s brains are not as able..
English

I normally don't stick my head over the parapet on such issues, but as a former competitive chess player who understands a bit about the game, I thought I could provide a bit of context here. /1
Sam Hudson@sejhudson
Can someone who knows more than me about chess explain what the rationale (if there is any) behind the regulations the FIDE has placed on trans people because these just seem bewildering?
English

@alys_griff @mikesalter74 In chess - in a decade - yes, why not?Equestrian sports have no sex categories - never have - and despite it having originally started by men in the military (indeed women mainly rode side saddle until 1900s) both men and women have been competitive on equal terms for years now.

Transgender women banned from women's chess events bbc.in/45ylxoM
English

@JanMcLachlan @BBCNews Women make up only 2% of Chess Grandmasters. Male and female brains have certain strengths and weaknesses on average. On average, men are better at chess than women. Women, on average, are better at other stuff.
English

@JanMcLachlan @LouSirrCommie @BBCNews They can play transwomen in the open category if they want to.
