Real things I’ve been told when I reported misconduct: “He’s just flirty” “He’s from a different generation” “He does this to everyone” “He didn’t mean it that way” “It’s the culture of this conference” You’re on notice, cut the crap. The whisper network is shouting.

Sarita @syardi, Eric @eegilbert, and others have spent the last 18 months working tirelessly to make the right thing happen in this case of sexual misconduct by a faculty member. It shouldn’t be this hard. How do we fix the system? 1/
